The migration peptide.

TB-500 is the research name for a synthetic form of Thymosin β4, one of the most-studied actin-regulating peptides in the literature. Its signature active region, LKKTETQ, is tied to cell migration - the process by which repair cells reach a wound.

01
Actin sequestration
Binds G-actin, regulating the cytoskeletal dynamics behind cell movement.
02
Wound models
Rodent studies report faster re-epithelialisation and contraction.
03
Often paired
Frequently studied alongside BPC-157 for complementary repair pathways.
Primary structure

04

One protein, many repair roles.

Thymosin β4 occurs in nearly all mammalian cells and is among the most abundant actin-binding proteins. TB-500 research focuses on its short active sequence rather than the full protein.

Reported activity spans angiogenesis, cell migration and anti-inflammatory signalling - strong, repeated findings across animal models, much like BPC-157.

Reading the evidence honestly

Not all claims are equal.

Tier 01
Strongest support
  • Actin binding and cell-migration regulation (well characterised)
  • Accelerated wound closure in animal models
  • Cardiac and corneal repair signals in research settings
Tier 02
Moderate / preclinical
  • Anti-inflammatory and immune-modulating effects
  • Hair-follicle and tissue-regeneration models
  • Anecdotal recovery use
Tier 03
Emerging / unverified
  • Human efficacy and dosing
  • Long-term safety profile
  • Systemic 'anti-ageing' positioning

How it works

Research has examined several distinct signalling pathways, summarised below.

01
Actin regulation

Sequesters G-actin, enabling the cytoskeletal remodelling behind migration.

Well characterised
02
Angiogenesis

Promotes endothelial-cell migration and vessel formation in models.

Preclinical
03
Anti-inflammatory

Down-regulates inflammatory cytokines in injury models.

Animal models
04
Tissue repair

Linked to faster re-epithelialisation across wound types.

How much diluent to mix into the vial, and the concentration that results. The suggested volume reaches a clean working stock; the calculator does the arithmetic from figures you enter. These describe solution preparation for research handling - not instructions for use in humans or animals.

Signs of a quality compound

Lyophilised cake or powder
A fine, fluffy white cake - not oily, clumped or discoloured.
Clear reconstitution
Dissolves to a clear, colourless solution with no visible particles or cloudiness.
Batch-specific COA
Independent HPLC purity and mass-spec identity for the exact lot — not a recycled generic PDF.
Intact seal & vacuum
Sealed flip-top vial under vacuum; correct fill; legible batch and storage marking.
Walk away if…
No COA, oily residue, off-colour, partial vacuum, or purity claims with no independent test behind them.
Suspiciously cheap
Pricing far below the market for a well-tested compound usually means skipped testing or underfilled vials.
Regulatory & status
Studied widely, approved nowhere.

Despite an extensive preclinical record, TB-500 / Thymosin β4 has no general human approval and is sold as a research material. It is prohibited in competitive sport.
